The 2017 Jeep Wrangler always has 2 doors and can seat 4 passengers. It is standard with two tow hooks on the front, a tow hook on the back bumper, and a handy USB port for smartphone-type connections drivers and passengers will find useful. LED headlights are new for 2017, as is the Cold Weather package which contains heated seats, a remote start, all-weather floor mats, and fog-lights. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler is an American icon and it began with World War II military functions. Today, it has found popularity as a surf wagon, clambering up rocky slopes, or just getting everybody where they want to go without a fuss.

Under the Wrangler's Hood

The powerful engine inside is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 for 285 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque, which powers all Wranglers. On the 2017 Wrangler, a 6-speed manual with Hill-start Assist comes standard, and there is an optional 5-speed automatic transmission with Hill-start Assist and Hill-Descent control. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler can be programmed with ratios (3.21, 3.73 or 4.10), which is possible to be further customized depending on the trim. The Wrangler has high- and low-range gearing as standard, and it has 4-wheel drive. The 2017 Rubicon gets things done well with a smart transfer case that has a low crawl ratio and short gearing. Towing capacity is at 2,000-lbs for the Wrangler (3500-lbs for the Unlimited). In Edmunds testing, a manual transmission Wrangler drove from 0 - 60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds!

Design of Jeep Wrangler

The Wrangler is here in 2017 with four core trims- the Sport S, Sport, Sahara, and the Rubicon. There are a few variants also available that are built onto those trims. All Wranglers have the possibility to be fit with either a soft top or a hardtop. The hardtop has to be either body-color or black. The Sahara trim has LED foglights, 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, hood insulation for reduced noise, AC, extra painted body panels and trim, the Power Convenience Group items, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and almost all that the Sport model has too. The Sport model has full metal doors with crank windows, a tilt-only steering wheel, a collapsible, tumble-forward seat in the back, 16-inch steel wheels, hand-operated mirrors and locks, tow hooks, skid plates, a fold-down windshield, foglights, on/off-road tires, removable doors, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver seat, a spare tire that's full-size, and a sound system with 8-speakers (and a CD player/aux jack). The rock-rails-topped Rubicon trim incorporates a lot of these items, then adds an electronically disconnecting front sway bar, 17-inch alloy wheels, custom tires, a heavy-duty Dana 44 axle on both axles, and more. In the cabin, a bunch of features show up, like AC, satellite radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and that handy 115-volt outlet. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler can be purchased in one of two body styles: the Wrangler Unlimited, with its 4-doors and 5-passenger seating, or the 2-door, 4-passenger Wrangler, which we are discussing here. The Unlimited trim has a gas tank that is larger and a 60/40-split folding seat that tumbles forward.

Front-side airbags are possible for any trim above the Sport trim. Every 2017 Wrangler is designed standard with traction control, advanced multi-stage driver and front passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, Hill-start Assist, electronic stability control with a hydraulic assist brake booster, and a 'Sentry Key' engine immobilizer. The Sport S and Sport trims allow the LED Lighting Group, which has LED reflector headlamps and LED fog lamps. All in all, the Wrangler is absolutely worth your time to check into, if not as a boundary-pusher for off-roading, but also as an important contender in your vehicle search! The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) said that a 2017 Wrangler scored its highest rating of 'Good' in the moderate-overlap front-impact test.
